Open Question: Can police trace the location a gun shot was fired?
I just got a glock 17 after somebody stole my 92 beretta and i went to my pal neighborhood.. which is a very bad neighborhood, somebody got killed the other day over there.. But i wanted to shoot the gun the show him the differnce between the glock 17 and the berreta and he told me NO because the police can trace where the gun was fired... That sounds fake to me.. how in the hell is that possible?? If technology was that good this world would be a better place... Is this possible? Dont tell me to go to a shooting range if i want to shoot im only 19 and do not have a flame arms license and cannot obtain one because of my juvenile record

Open Question: How do you feel about constant texting, IMing, etc.?
I'm starting to think it's a bad thing. It seems to me when you're talking to the same set of people for most of the day, every day... you start to receive bored. Plus, you run out of things to talk about... Actually, if I haven't known the person for awhile, I can never think of anything to talk about with them in person, but can go for hours talking to them via text. It's a big problem.

Open Question: How do I remove windows activation from windows 7 ultimate?
The product key on my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate isn't allowing me to activate my software. Is there any way around this? Someone told me to "buy the software." I've bought every kinds of software to try and fix this issue, but no luck.
I need the 64 bit capabilities for my company, as well as the multiple language pack capabilities that Windows 7 Ultimate has, and I've yet to find a solution other than simply removing the Windows Activation Technologies software, which I am having trouble with.

Back then they didn't have the tools and technology nor the DEA, like we do now, nor the man power. We could treat it like a drug and have the DEA enforce laws against it.

Open Question: Questions about broken laptop hard drive?
The laptop fell and the HD stopped working. I put it in a usb HD enclosure and hooked it to a desktop to try to recover files. I hear and feel it spin, and the light on the enclosure turns from red to green. However, the steer doesn't show up on my computer. Are there any more tricks? If I can't recover it this way, does a professional computer repair store have the technology to recover the information. Before you fuss at me about backing stuff up, it is not my laptop.......

Open Question: Failed Memtest86 now what?...?
ok. so the first time I ran Memtest86 through one cycle it had no errors. Then I left it overnight just to be sure and got 18 errors on test #6 after 3 or so passes. So I'm assuming that means i have a bad memory stick. I am a novice at computers and have been running the computer through crashes for about 8 months... without even trying to find out whats wrong. Now I'm playing wow and it gets really annoying so where do i start with this? If someone could give me a guideline on what to do it would help me since I have extra ram sticks but no money for anything else. i would like to rule out the cpu and motherboard if possible. I built the computer myself so there's no one to return it too...

i wish that anyone who views this is a employer. because I am fed up with the crap. you want experience but have you got stuck on stupid?? probably so, how is a student that is going to college ABLE TO receive EXPERIENCE, IF NO ONE IS WILLING TO HIRE THEM!!!. ISN'T COLLEGE OR AN UNIVERSITY SUPPOSE TO PREPARE THE PERSON TO FIT AN EMPLOYERS MEANS!! YES I KNOW I LEFT THE CAPS ON,I WANT TO BE HEARD noisy AND CLEAR. Open Question: Could my boyfriend possibly be in love with me and just be too shy to say it?
My boyfriend is really shy. We could go like two weeks without him calling me - i wait for him unless i have something important to say. I mean like he talks and every, just is even more shy with me than anyone else. Sometimes there's a silence where we just stare into each other's eyes. We do have a lot of the same interests (we both like technology and photography a lot etc).
Anyway, recently he's be calling me more often. Last Sunday we scheduled a date for tomorrow and he said he would call me Saturday (today). He called me every day last week and we talked for 5-25 minutes which is pretty long for him on the phone. He doesn't text (he hates texting), but he does call me.
I know he defiantly likes me for the way he stares at me when i'm with him. I can feel that deep stare and it always sends butterflies through me. Sometimes, we'll be staring at each other at the same time and our eyes will lock for a few minutes and it's as if our eyes are talking to each other or whatever - it's difficult to describe the feeling. He always compliments me on my outfits or whatever and is always sooo sweet and respectful (like he holds doors open and pays for me and what not). also, i think he tells me stuff that he usually doesn't tell his friends. Like I doubt his friends know that they have a home in another part of the state or what actually happened with him and his mom (he's told me that).
We haven't kissed or anything yet - maybe tomorrow on our date :). although we have slow danced before even though he hates dancing - his friends forced him to. I mean he wanted to dance with me he just is really really bad at it - i admit.... lol
I am falling in adore with him. I wait for them to say it so yeah. We're both 18 and going to college in the fall.
So my question is, could he possibly be in adore with me and just be too shy to say it, if not how long does it usually take for a shy guy to fall in adore?

I want to receive my little cousin a gift for his birthday and he's 9 years old. He really likes cameras. He's always taking pictures with his moms but he's played on his friends psp before and he loved it. After that, he kept telling his mom that he wanted a psp but he still does want a camera. Open Question: Electrical engineer employers/employees...would I be limiting my opportunities?
As of now, I am just starting high school, and I know I probably shouldn't be worrying about this, but I'm having a difficult time choosing which college I should go to. So, here are some options; I can stay here in Pennsylvania, go to Johnson College for 2 years, and make very decent pay at a local army depot. Another option is to attend the Florida International University in Miami(FIU). The only problem with this, is that I might be a little over-qualified. I was really looking forward to living in Miami until I thought about that. I started to look for a better academically pronounced college than FUI, since I've heard great, and more importantly, bad things about the university. My last option would to go to the California Institute of Technology, which is a reputable college for Electrical Engineering...
So, here are my main questions...Do the employers really pay attention to what college you graduate? Would I be limiting my opportunities if I went to FUI and had the chance to go to CIT?

I've always been fascinated with electronics, technology and do-it-yourself projects; thus, I decided I wanted to learn a bit more about it.
I have a tiny project idea... nothing really complicated, but unfortunately, I have no experience with electronics whatsoever. My goal is to make some type of user interface built into a tiny monitor (probably about the size of a cellphone). This device would sound an alarm and send a notification to my computer at specific times in the day. You could say it's like a transmitting clock of sorts, I guess.
I'm not asking for you to tell me how to create such a thing... I just want to be pointed in the right direction. To start learning to make something like this, I wanted to ask you if you could recommend any educational resources, so I could receive started in acquiring sufficient knowledge to make my possess. I prefer websites, but books are fine.

Open Question: What scores are required on the ASVAB for an IT Rating in the Navy?
I am currently enlisting in our U.S. Navy. I am wondering if anyone may know what scores are required for the IT Rating (Information Technology Technician). I have done some research, and have found on military.com/asvab that the scores are VE+MK+CS=163 or VE+MK=110 but has a "Note" that states the following (Note: The data listed here is subject to change and is only an example of how ASVAB Scores are related to job selection for the Navy.) and the about.com states ASVAB Score Requirement: AR + 2MK + GS = 222 OR AR + MK + EI + GS = 222
Please if anyone has any clues then let me knowwwwwwwwww. This is the only rating I want.

Open Question: How to shift to Oracle from .Net?
I am fresher graduate working on.Net technologies and sql server 2005. I would like to learn pl/sql as i feel it is much much better.
How can i shift when my company doesn't use any oracle products. Studying by self after office hours seem to be the only option.
But if i jump to a oracle using company, they will naturally ask for pl/sql 'experience' and not self-learnt stuff, how to arrive over this obstacle?
